“Viva La Twinkle” for STRING ORCHESTRA

Viva La Twinkle is a fun variation on the traditional “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star” melody. It challenges young students to perform with crisp staccato bowings while synchronizing the syncopated rhythm of Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida.” This simple piece for beginning strings is equally effective when performed with just the Violin 1 melody part or along with the other parts. If you have a smaller number of students in your young orchestra, the Violin 1, Violin 2, and Cello parts work well (i.e. without the Double Bass and Violin 3 parts).
