“International Festival of Carols” for ORCHESTRA

The International Festival of Carols is is a festive setting of six favorite Christmas carols in the diverse ethnic styles of cultures across the globe. This medley begins with an eclectic arrangement of “Joy to the World” in which each phrase features a different style of music. An African arrangement of “Angels We Have Heard on High” is second, followed by an East Asian version of “Go Tell It on the Mountain.” We then experience a fiery Spanish version of “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen” and an exotic Middle Eastern rendition of the “Coventry Carol.” Our musical journey concludes with a festive Austrian version of “Hark the Herald Angels Sing.”
