“Courageous” for STRING ORCHESTRA

Courageous is an aggressive cinematic rock style piece for beginning strings and rhythm section. The vigorous, repetitive rhythms in the opening section is perfect for introducing and practicing bow circles. The Violin 3 part is the simplest, and contains only diatonic fingerings and no slurs. The Violin 2 part is slightly more challenging, and includes some low 1’s. The Violin 1 part is the most challenging, and contains some low 2’s. The Violin 1, 2, and Cello parts also contain some simple, two-note slurs.
