“Rakes of Kildare” for STRING ORCHESTRA

Rakes of Kildare is a fun and energetic setting of this traditional Celtic fiddle tune. The Violin 3/Viola part is very simple–limited to just a few notes and repetitive rhythms. The Violin 2 part is slightly more challenging, and contains low 2’s. The Violin 1 part is the most challenging, with faster rhythms and some low 2’s. The Cello part provides an interesting but accessible countermelody. The simple but effective accompaniment track is a great resource if you don’t have access to a piano accompanist.
